Beginners Chess Tournament

Suitable for Juniors aged under 13 who are at beginner level with a rating between 0 and 701 or have never played in a tournament before.

This is an ideal first tournament for kids.

DIVISIONS : Over 10, Under 10 & Under 8 Prizes for top 3 scorers in each division (subject to sufficient entries)

Format : 7 rounds of 10 mins + 5 sec per move, per player (around 30 minutes per round)

Entry Fee : $ 25 (member discount 20% off)

11:10 am Lesson and review of special moves, opening principles and tips on how to play well.

12:00 pm Lunch Break

12:15 pm Start

4:15 pm Awards presentation & finish.
