The first name/applicant on the application below must be an adult over the age of 18.
In the case of a Family Membership, this would be the Parent/Guardian of associate Junior Members.

There  are no pro-rata  fees, therefore the fee  is the same regardless of when membership is renewed.

Wyndham Chess Club Inc.

1. Application for Membership

I hereby apply for Membership of Wyndham Chess Club Inc. as detailed in the form submitted. 

2. Parent Membership and Parent Contact Details

A single Junior Membership in Wyndham Chess Club Inc also creates a single Parent Membership for the same time period at no additional cost.  A Parent Member has voting rights at General Meetings of the Club.

3. Terms and Conditions

  • Wyndham Chess Club is an Incorporated Association of Members in accordance with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act (Vic) 2012.  The Constitution of Wyndham Chess Club Inc sets out the Rules governing the Club, and represents a contract between the Club and its Members.
  • Duration of Membership: Membership lasts until 31 December 2024.  Renewal in subsequent years  will be subject to the payment of Membership fees to be recommended to the Membership by the Committee.
  • It is understood that Membership fees are utilised by the Club to meet ongoing expenditure, the largest of which is the hiring of venues meetings,  coaching and tournament activities.  Participation in Coaching and Tournaments organised by the Club is subject to additional fees.
  • The selection of service providers for Coaching and Tournament Services is decided by the Club Committee with full accountability to the Members, and ultimately the choice of such service providers rests with the Members.

4.  Code of Conduct

  • All Members are expected to follow reasonable direction from Club Supervisors and the staff of Service Providers engaged by the Club for Coaching and Tournament activities.
  • All Members are expected to maintain the quiet and respectful environment of the Club as a place for learning and playing Chess 
  • All Members are expected to respect the Premises hired by the Club for its activities, and to understand that it is of great importance that we leave our venues in the condition that we found them
  • All Members are expected to take good care of Chess equipment owned by the Club and its service providers

5.  Agreement & Understanding

I understand the criteria for Parent Membership as detailed in Section 2.  I have read and understand the Terms and Conditions in Section 3.  I shall discuss with my child(ren) the Code of Conduct in Section 4.
