Free Chess Course for Beginners

This course is comprised of 3 lessons of approximately 1.5  hours in duration.

The course is designed for Absolute Beginners aged 6 to 14 and covers the following:

a. Overview & rules of the game of Chess

b. The chessboard & correct setup

c. The pieces and how they move & capture.

d. Check & Checkmate

e. Overview of special moves & illegal moves

f. Starting a game & basic opening principles

g. some chess terminology

During each lessons kids will have the opportunity to practice and apply what they learn, on a chessboard with other players.
